mosaic toilet, cistern chapel, colchester       Series of Mosaics created for Colchester Art Centre a former church now fabulous performance venue.
Ladies, gender neutral, accessible and staff toilets were all transformed with panels and mirrors. All the blue crockery and pennies were donated by local people and photographic transfers see performers featured and embedded into the mosaics.

Hospital mosaic, recycled crockery       A 6m long panel created using donated crockery, jewels, buttons and sea glass, from staff, patients and visitors to the hospital.

The mosaic depicts the Essex Coastline and is in recognition of the Gift of Life from organ donors. It features a poem written for the piece by Martin Newell.

Commissioned by the Organ donation committee.
mosaic corset       One of 7 corsets created for the main entrance of a former corset factory, now government builidng housing a library, offices and museum.

Each corset is based on one from the collection and each created from distinct crockery. Queenie is made entirely from coronation and Royal wedding crockery with lots of gold, to create a truly decadent corset.
recycled mosaic car       Created as part of Vorsicht Kunst! a sculpture symposium in Meiningen, Germany. This iconic Trabant car was donated along with some stunning Thuringen ceramics. Thuringen is the German equivalent to our Stoke on Trent. The factories all closed soon after the wall came down, so this piece creates a nostalgic nod to the former East Germany.

It remains outside Elizabeth Castle in Meiningen and features in many wedding photos.
