A piece inspired by the teaching of Lawrence Payne. The tesserae are very small, Cinca and lightweight, so glued directly only a round artist canvas. All very experimental, but it worked. Such a lot to learn about Roman mosaic techniques and rule, but am enjoying immersing myself in the history of it all. |

The fountain was my second piece. It is a reinterpretation of the main relief that used to hang above the temple of Sulis Minerva in Bath. |

A 6m long panel created using donated crockery, jewels, buttons and sea glass, from staff, patients and visitors to the hospital.
The mosaic depicts the Essex Coastline and is in recognition of the Gift of Life from organ donors. It features a poem written for the piece by Martin Newell.
