Waste is not an option. My ethos is intrisically tied in to my early years, having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa. My art practice has a primary focus on sustainability, the re-using, re-purposing and re-making of materials.
My work has featured in multiple publications and on the BBC. I am passionate about bringing the joy of mosaic art and the sustainable use of recycled materials to my students, both through the teaching of traditional methods, using modern or unconventional materials and through more imaginative ways of making contemporary mosaics.
I believe that art is a journey. Every person is on their own journey and I aim to help my students reach their goals in their own time.
I exhibit extensively, run workshops and mosaic courses and am available for murals and commissions. With an enhanced DBS on the update service, my practice is fully inclusive and it brings me great happiness to share my love of mosaic design and mosaic making with others. My way of working is flexible and adaptable, with a very positive attitude.
