Anabella Wewer

Capturing a moment in time has long been a hallmark of Anabella Wewer’s work; using hard materials to achieve a sense of softness and fluidity, another. Her graphic design background, her love of type, language, and materials, all inform her mosaic practice. Classically trained, Anabella uses traditional mosaic techniques to produce thoroughly modern abstract mosaics.
Fluent in four languages, Anabella has studied mosaic all over the world with contemporary mosaic masters.
In addition to her studio practice she currently teaches worldwide and curates educational experiences with visiting instructors to the US, and leads mosaic-specific tours to Italy.
