Beyond Mosaic

Hi, I'm Prerana, a published author and modern mosaic artist, dedicated to exploring the world of mosaics and beyond. My work has been featured in community installations across England and at The Ruins Project in Pennsylvania, USA. At the heart of my art is storytelling and emotional expression. My community-led projects are both engaging and therapeutic, designed to foster a sense of ownership and pride among participants. I focus on drawing out the best from each person involved, creating art that truly belongs to the community. In March 2024, I was honored to receive the Arts Council England Award. My training includes The London School of Mosaic, along with studies under renowned mosaic artists like Dino Maccini and Koko Mosaico in Italy. I also completed a short course at the prestigious Scuola Mosaicisti Del Friuli in Spillimbergo, Italy. I offer bespoke furniture for home and garden, featuring intricate mosaic inserts, as well as a collection of handmade mosaic jewelry crafted from smalti, stone, glass, marble, and 24K gold smalti.
