Profile Summary: As a professional mosaic artist I have worked as a freelancer for the last fifteen years. I have a passion and commitment to my art form which I believe can improve the quality of peoples lives through the process of making and can create attractive and inspirational environments. Receiving commissions from public and private bodies including the Arts Council England I have a reputation for meeting and exceeding goals which are set in terms of creativity, time, budget, impact on stakeholders and the public in general. Internationally recognised- selected as one of 60 mosaic artists from around the world to take part in the the 1st International Urban Mosaic Intervention, Santiago, Chile, January 2014. Topps Tiles School Mosaic Award Winner 2013 . Work History: Sunbury Cross Underpass- working with a £50,000 budget producing 26 panels for two walkways – designed with the help of inmates at Bronzefield Womens Prison , local primary schools and the Womens Institute. Managed a team of mosaicists and the onsite installation. Delivered on time and within budget. Inspired Mosaics Course Programme – after tutoring Mosaics for Interiors at Redbridge adult institute for 4 years I began a programme of adult weekend and summer schools courses. Students learn mosaic skills and access their creativity. Classes are often over subscribed with many students returning. London borough of Haringey- An extensive portfolio of commissions carried out across the borough including features for the foyer of the Laurels Healthy Living Centre and Greig City Academy. A series of panels for Hartington Park and Hornsey Recycling Centre as well as playground features for various primary schools. Private and Corporate - commissions in collaboration with interior designers and architects including tables for the Four Seasons Hotel group , panels for the Marie Curie Institute, Westminster and signage for the Shepherds Bush Empire. Balcony features, ,bathroom mirrors and fireplace renovations for private clients, Springwell Special School, Southampton – Large scale reproduction of the school logo designed and made with the children, many with severe disabilities. Atrium foyer feature designed and produced by myself , sea theme maximising the reflection of natural light in the space. Exhibitions –Including Brighton festival Open studios and British Association of Modern Mosaics annual juried shows. City Airport, Decorex International, Hannah Pescher Sculpture Garden.
