I am a Shropshire Based artist and arts facilitator, based at English Bridge Workshops in Shrewsbury. I work in mosaic, paint and collage/mixed media. Both in mosaic and my paintings I work with layers, creating a surface where the viewer can glimpse other elements or fragments of images beneath, leading the viewer on a journey to discover their own stories. For the past decade my work has involved supporting and enabling others to develop and express themselves through art as a workshop facilitator and as a learning and creative support worker. I am passionate about the benefits, mentally and physically, of the arts and through my work have become an advocate for underrepresented, disabled and neurodivergent artists. Whilst I will still work collaboratively and as an arts facilitator, 2024 is the start of a period when I will reduce my time spent supporting others and concentrate more on my own artistic practice.
