Event Information
Over the weekend of 4 – 6th October 2024, BAMM collaborated with local artists to bring a unique experience in Newport, South Wales. The event was about art that celebrates urban living and the power of art to bring communities together.
At the heart of the event was an exhibition and talk showcasing the artistic legacy of Kenneth and Oliver Budd in Newport. There was a guided walking tour of the mosaics in Newport, with Oliver Budd and Stephanie Roberts and a masterclass workshop programme including a community make event where local artists, community groups and BAMM members worked alongside each other to create a series of four mosaic figures, which will continue to inspire creativity and excitement in the art of the everyday in urban environments.
We also held an open exhibition by BAMM members for the month of October.
The event took place at the prestigious Riverfront Arts Centre and Theatre, with the Fringe Event at The Place.
